PLANT: medium to many branches, short, narrow
STEM: strong intensity of green colour of middle third, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of middle third, absent or weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of upper third
PETIOLE: very short to short, weak intensity of green colour on upper side, absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper and lower side
LEAF BLADE: short to medium length, very narrow to narrow, ovate shape, rounded base, one colour on upper side, medium to strong intensity of green colour on upper side, only green main vein on upper side, absent or weak curvature of main vein, absent or few lobes, shallow depth of deepest sinus between lobes
TRANSITIONAL LEAF: medium degree of lobing
PARTLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: few
FULLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: medium to many, absent or weak curvature along main vein
BRACT: few to medium number, no folding along main vein, no twisting, weak rugosity between veins

Origin & Breeding History: 'Duepowhiwon' originated from a controlled cross between two proprietary seedlings, the female parent designated EE04-000817-001, and the male parent designated EE09-002443-001 in Rheinberg, Germany in July 2013. It was bred and developed by the breeder, Arjan Koot, in Rheinberg, Germany. 'Duepowhiwon' was selected in December 2017 based on its upright plant growth habit, medium vigour, shoot strength and white bract colour. In January 2018, asexual reproduction of 'Duepowhiwon' was first conducted by terminal vegetative cuttings in Rheinberg, Germany.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Duepowhiwon' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2017/1471, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Department of Food Science, University of Aarhus in Aarslev, Denmark in 2018. The colour determinations were made using the 2001 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
