Origin & Breeding History: 'Lazzposugi' originated from a naturally occurring branch mutation of 'Superba Glitter Red & White' which was discovered in a greenhouse in Sabuadia, Italy in December 2015. It was discovered and further developed by the breeder, Johannes Nebelmeir, of Hann, Munden, Germany. 'Lazzposugi' was selected in December 2015 based on plant growth habit, bract colour and flowering time. In May 2016, asexual reproduction of 'Lazzposugi' was first conducted by vegetative tip cuttings in Sabuadia, Italy.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Lazzposugi' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2019/0052, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing in Slupia Wielka, Poland from 2019 to 2020. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
