PLANT: many branches, medium height, medium to broad
STEM: medium to strong intensity of green colour on middle third, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration on middle third, medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper third
LEAF BLADE: medium length, medium width, ovate shape, rounded base, dark green upper side, green and red main vein on upper side, absent or few lobes, absent or very shallow depth of deepest sinus, absent or weak curvature along main vein
TRANSITIONAL LEAF: absent or weak lobing
PARTLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: medium to many
FULLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: very many, absent or weak curvature along main vein
PETIOLE: long, absent or very weak intensity of green colour on upper side, medium to strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper side, strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on lower side
BRACT: few, no folding along main vein, no twisting, weak rugosity between veins
BRACT (UPPER SIDE): one colour, dark red (RHS 45A), absent or very weak spotting

Origin & Breeding History: ‘NPCW19282' originated from a controlled cross conducted in Juja, Kenya in December of 2013 between the female parent variety ‘Prima Red' and the male parent variety ‘Christmas Beauty'. The new variety ‘NPCW19282' was selected in October 2014 in Stuttgart, Germany based on bract colour, bract size, leaf and stem characteristics.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘NPCW19282' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, reference number DZ 2304, purchased from the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing (COBORU) in Slupia Wielka, Poland. The trials were conducted at the Zaklad Doswiadczalny Oceny Odmian (ZDOO) testing station in Srem, Poland from 2020 to 2021. Colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
