Summary: The plants of 'LAZZPO1615' have a medium number of branches whereas those of 'sk 158' have few branches. The middle third of the stem of 'LAZZPO1615' has weak to medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration whereas that of 'sk 158' has medium to strong anthocyanin colouration. The plants of 'LAZZPO1615' have medium to many bracts whereas those of 'sk 158' have very few to few bracts. The largest bract of 'LAZZPO1615' is very long and very broad whereas that of 'sk 158' is medium to long and narrow. The largest bract of 'LAZZPO1615' is ovate whereas that of 'sk 158' is elliptic. The cyme of 'LAZZPO1615' is of medium width whereas the cyme of 'sk 158' is broad.

LEAF BLADE: long, medium width, ovate shape, rounded base, one colour on upper side, strong to very strong intensity of green colour on upper side, only red main vein on upper side, absent or few lobes, absent or very shallow depth of deepest sinus, absent or weak curvature along main vein
TRANSITIONAL LEAF: medium degree of lobing
PARTLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: few to medium number
FULLY BRACT-COLOURED TRANSITIONAL LEAF: many to very many, absent to weak curvature along main vein
PETIOLE: medium length, absent or very weak intensity of green colour on upper side, medium to strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper side, strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on lower side

BRACT: medium to many, no folding along main vein, no twisting, medium to strong rugosity between veins
BRACT (UPPER SIDE): one colour, dark red (RHS 45B), absent or very weak spotting

Origin & Breeding History: 'LAZZPO1615' originated from a controlled hybrid cross between the female parent variety 'Duebelita' and pollen from the male parent variety 'Allegra Red', conducted in Merano, Italy between March to June of 2013. The new variety 'LAZZPO1615' was selected in December 2014, in Sabaudia, Italy based on bract colour, plant shape and foliage colour. Asexual reproduction by cuttings was initiated in Sabaudia, Italy in July of 2015.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'LAZZPO1615' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2021/2515, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted at the Centralny Orodek Badania Odmian Rolin Uprawnych (COBORU) Research Center for Cultivar Testing in Srem, Poland from 2022 to 2023. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
