Summary: The tip of the lightsprout of 'FL2385' is small in relation to the base with a closed habit whereas the tip of the lightsprout for 'FL2215' is large in relation to the base with a closed to intermediate habit. The plants of 'FL2385' are taller than the plants of 'FL2215'. The stem of 'FL2385' has a medium to high extent of anthocyanin colouration whereas the stem of 'FL2215' has an absent or very low extent of anthocyanin colouration. The inner side of the corolla of 'FL2385' has a high proportion of blue in the anthocyanin colouration whereas the inner side of the corolla of 'FL2215' has an absent or low proportion of blue in the anthocyanin colouration.

Origin & Breeding History: FL2385' originated from a cross conducted in 2005 between 'Maria Bonita' and 'FL2215' at the Frito-Lay Agricultural Research and Development facility near Rhinelander, Wisconsin was selected in 2007 for its positive agronomic characteristics and resistance to various diseases.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'FL2385' was conducted by Global Agri Services Inc. during the growing season of 2016 in Drummond, New Brunswick. The trial consisted of a single, 19.5 metre long row containing 65 plants spaced 0.3 metres apart for each variety. The distance between rows within the trial was 0.9 metres. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or 10 parts of plants, of each variety. Mean differences were significant at the 5% probability level based on a paired Student's t-test.
