Summary: The lightsprout of 'Radley' is ovoid whereas that of 'Mozart' is spherical. The pubescence at the base of the lightsprout of 'Radley' is dense whereas the pubescence is of medium density on the lightsprout of 'Mozart'. The anthocyanin colouration at the tip of the lightsprout of 'Radley' is of medium intensity whereas it is weak for 'Mozart'. The extent of anthocyanin colouration on the stem of 'Radley' is high whereas it is low to medium for 'Mozart'. The presence of secondary leaflets on the leaves of 'Radley' is weak to medium whereas it is medium to strong for 'Mozart'. 'Radley' has a very high extent of anthocyanin colouration along the midrib of the upper side of the leaf whereas the extent is high on 'Mozart'. The plants of 'Radley' are taller than those of 'Mozart'. 'Radley' has a medium sized corolla whereas it is large for 'Mozart'. The extent of anthocyanin colouration on the inner side of the corolla of 'Radley' is high whereas it is medium for 'Mozart'. The tuber of 'Radley' has a short oval shape whereas it is oval for 'Mozart'. The colour at the base of the tuber eye is red for 'Radley' whereas it is yellow for 'Mozart'.

Origin & Breeding History: 'Radley' (experimental designation HZC 07-6049) originated from the cross between 'Rosella', as the female parent, and 'Dakota Rose', as the male parent, conducted in 2006 at HZPC Research B.V., in Metslawier, The Netherlands. One of the progeny, designated HZC 07-6049, was identified in 2007 and subsequently tested in The Netherlands and other locations abroad. Selection criteria was based on yield, internal and external quality as well as disease and insect resistance.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for 'Radley' was conducted by Global Agri Services Inc. during the 2018 growing season in Drummond, New Brunswick. The trial consisted of a single, 21 metre long row containing 70 plants spaced 0.3 metres apart for each variety. The distance between rows within the trial was 0.9 metres. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or 10 parts of plants, of each variety. The mean difference was significant at the 5% probability level based on a paired Student's t-test.
