Description:

PLANT: upright growth habit, medium to many current season shoots, bears fruit mainly on previous season's cane in summer and on current season's cane in autumn, vegetative bud burst mid-season to late
VERY YOUNG SHOOT: weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration of apex during rapid growth
CURRENT SEASON'S CANE: emerges mid-season, very weak to weak glaucosity, strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration, short to medium length, short internode, medium length of vegetative bud
PREVIOUS SEASON'S CANE: short to medium length, purplish brown
SPINES: sparse, small base, very short to short, brownish purple

PEDICEL: medium number of spines
LEAF: medium green on upper side, equally three and five leaflets, strong rugosity, relative position of lateral leaflets is not touching
LEAFLET: concave profile in cross-section
TERMINAL LEAFLET: long to very long, narrow to medium width

FLOWERING: begins mid-season on previous season's cane, begins late on current season's cane
PEDUNCLE: medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration
FLOWER: medium to large

FRUITING LATERAL: semi-erect attitude, short to medium length

Origin & Breeding History: 'Advabertwee' was bred and developed by the breeders Andreas Smaal, of Advanced Berry Breeding, Netherlands, and Gerrit de Weert, of De Weert Beheer B.V., Netherlands. 'Advabertwee' was selected in Rossum, Gelderland, Netherands, for its fruit characteristics including quality, productivity, and uniformity.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Advabertwee' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2011/0115, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Bundessortenamt, in Prüfstelle Wurzen, Germany, from 2013 to 2014.
