Origin & Breeding History: 'Paris' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder in Loir-et-Cher, France. The cross was made in 2007 between the variety 'Heritage' as the female parent, and variety designated 'P 22' as the male parent. In 2009, 'Paris' was selected as a single plant from the resulting progeny based on its large fruit size and good flavour in Loir-et-Cher, France. 'Paris' was first propagated by root propagation in February 2010 in Loir-et-Cher, France.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Paris' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20121992, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt at Prüfstelle Wurzen in Hannover, Germany in 2014 and 2015.
