Summary: The plants of R15-21-5' have a medium number of current season's shoots whereas the plants of Evita' have many current season's shoots. The current season's cane of R15-21-5' has a very weak to weak bloom whereas the current season's cane of Jade' has a medium degree of bloom. Anthocyanin colouration is present on the puduncle of R15-21-5' whereas it is absent on the the puduncle of Evita'. In lateral view, the fruit shape is conical for R15-21-5' whereas it is broad conical for Jade'.

Origin & Breeding History: R15-21-5' originated from an open-pollinated cross between female parent R14-21' and an unknown male parent and was discovered in Huelva, Spain in 2015. The new variety R15-21-5' was selected in 2015, based on growth habit, plant vigour, and fruit characteristics. Asexual reproduction by root cuttings was initiated in Gibraleon, Huelva, Spain on July 17, 2016.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'R15-21-5' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 20180640, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted at the Bundessortenamt in Wurzen, Germany from 2021 to 2022.
