Summary: 'KORlinik' has longer and wider leaves than 'POULgelb'. The fully opened flowers of 'KORlinik' are star-shaped when viewed from above while those of 'POULgelb' are round shaped. The flower colour for 'KORlinik' is darker yellow than those of 'POULgelb'. The flower petals of 'KORlinik' are longer and wider than those of 'POULgelb'.
Description:
'KORlinik' is a miniature rose variety which has an upright to bushy growth habit. The leaves have weak glossiness and there are 5 leaflets per leaf. 'KORlinik' flowers almost continuously for more than 10 weeks. The number of flowers per flowering shoot is low. The flower buds are pointed with weak sepal extensions. 'KORlinik' produces lemon yellow coloured, double flowers which are star-shaped when viewed from above. When viewed from the side, the fully opened flowers of 'KORlinik' have a flat shaped upper part and a concave shaped lower part. The flower center is in-folded. There are very small spots at the base of the outer and inner sides of the petals. The colour of the filament of the outer stamen is yellow. The style is yellow in colour.
Origin & Breeding History: 'KORlinik' arose from a cross between an unnamed seedling as the female parent and the variety KORdaba as the male parent. The cross and initial selection took place at Sparrishoop, Germany in 1993.
Tests & Trials: Tests and trials for 'KORlinik' were conducted at Burnaby Lake Greenhouses, Surrey, British Columbia in 1999. The plants were grown in 10 cm pots in a greenhouse and there were more than 10 plants per variety. Unless otherwise indicated, measured characteristics were based on nine measurements.
