Summary: 'POULra015' has a smaller flower diameter than 'POULra004'. 'POULra015' has semi-double flowers while 'POULra004' has double flowers. 'POULra015' differs from 'POULra004' in flower colour and overall flower shape.

Description:

'POULra015' is a miniature rose variety which has an upright to bushy growth habit. The young shoot has weak to medium anthocyanin colouration which is reddish-brown in colour. The stem has a sparse number of short and long prickles which are linear in shape and reddish-brown in colour. The leaves are light to medium green in colour and have medium glossiness on the upper side. There are three to seven leaflets. The terminal leaflet has a serrate margin and a thin/flexible texture. The leaflet base is obtuse in shape.

'POULra015' flowers mid-season and flowers almost continuously for more than ten weeks. There are a low number of flowers per flowering shoot and the flower pedicel has a low to medium number of hairs and prickles. The flower bud is pointed to ovoid in shape and sepal extensions are weak to medium. The flower is round to irregularly rounded in shape when viewed from above, flattened convex on the upper part when viewed from the side and convex on the lower part when viewed from the side. The flower center is normal and the corolla is semi double. The petals have a very small to small sized spot at the base of the outer and inner side. The petal margin has medium to strong reflexing and weak to medium undulation. The outer stamen has a yellow filament. The style is medium to long in length, white in colour and has weak hairiness on the upper half. The stigma is positioned at the same level as the anthers. The receptacle is medium in size, funnel shaped and has no prickles.

Origin & Breeding History: 'POULra015' originated from a cross made in 1998 between 'Patricia Kordana' and an unnamed seedling, in Fredensborg, Denmark.

Tests & Trials: Tests and trials for 'POULra015' were conducted in Waterdown, Ontario in January of 2002. The trials consisted of 6 plants per variety grown in 15 cm pots. Measured characteristics were based on six measurements and colour determinations were made using the 1995 RHS colour chart.
