Origin & Breeding History: 'SAXZ0013' orginated from an open pollinated cross conducted by the breeder, Har Stemkens, in Enkhuizen, Netherlands in April 2008. The cross was made between the proprietary variety designated as 'SX015' (female parent) and pollen from an unknown male parent. The resultant seed was sown in a greenhouse in August 2008. In March 2009, a single plant was selected from the progeny based on flower colour, number of flowers and flowering time.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'SAXZ0013' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2015/1164, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2016. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
