Summary: The leaf blade of 'SAXZ0015' is long to very long while that of 'SAXZ0016' is of medium length. The upper side of the leaf blade of 'SAXZ0015' is grey green while that of 'SAXZ0016' and 'SAXZ0005' is medium green. The petals of the flower of 'SAXZ0015' are moderately overlapping while the petals of 'SAXZ0005' are very weakly overlapping. The inner side of the petal of 'SAXZ0015' is purple while the petal of 'SAXZ0016' is dark purple red and that of 'SAXZ0005' is darker redder purple.

PLANT FOLIAGE: short, very narrow, small to medium height to width ratio, sparse to medium density
LEAF BLADE: long to very long, medium width, large length to width ratio, deep lobing, uppermost lobe is less than half the length of total leaf, medium density of hairs at base, grey green on upper side, no variegation
FLOWERING STEM: very short, small to medium ratio of flowering stem length to plant foliage height, medium number of flowers, medium to dense hairs, medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration
FLOWER: large diameter
PETAL: medium to long, narrow to medium width, small to medium length to width ratio, arrangement is moderately overlapping, strong undulation, reflexing along longitudinal axis, obtuse apex, inner side is purple (much darker than RHS 67A) at time of flower opening, inner side is purple (brighter than RHS 64A) when mature, no secondary colour, dark purple red (RHS 60B) veins, weak conspicuousness of veins, weak colour change with age
Origin & Breeding History: 'SAXZ0015' orginated from a controlled hybrid cross conducted by the breeder, Har Stemkens, in Enkhuizen, Netherlands in April 2011. The cross was made between the proprietary variety designated as 'M1210-51' (female parent) and the proprietary variety designated as 'N0838-51' (male parent). The resultant seed was sown in a greenhouse in August 2011. In March 2012, a single plant was selected from the progeny based on plant vigour, number of flowers and flowering time.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'SAXZ0015' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2015/2579, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2016. Colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
