Origin & Breeding History: 'DSCAWINDST' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder, Gavriel Danziger, in Nir-Zvi, Israel in March 2015. The cross was made between the female parent variety designated 'cv. 14-1050' and pollen from an unknown male parent. From the resulting progeny, a single seedling was selected on March 3, 2016 based on its plant growth habit, foliage appearance and flower colour. DSCAWINDST' was first propagated by vegetative cuttings on March 3, 2016 in Moshav Mishmar Hashiva, Israel.

Tests & Trials: The comparative trial for ' DSCAWINDST ' was conducted in a polyhouse during the spring of 2021 at BioFlora, Inc. in St. Thomas, Ontario. The trial included a total of 15 plants each of the candidate and reference variety. All plants were grown from rooted cuttings and transplanted into 13 cm pots on April 16, 2021. Observations and measurements were taken from 10 plants, or 10 parts of plants, of each variety on June 23, 2021. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
