Summary: When the cotyledons are completely open, the hypocotyl of P22A67E' has no anthocyanin colouration whereas the hypocotyl of P21A28X' has anthocyanin colouration. When 50% of the flowers are open, the flowers of P22A67E' are white whereas those of P21A28X' are violet. The plants of P22A67E' mature later than the plants of P21A28X'.

Origin & Breeding History: P22A67E' originated from a cross between two proprietary inbreds, conducted in 2018 at Johnston, Iowa. Between 2019 and 2021, six generations were advanced across three locations: Johnston, Iowa; Princeton, Illinois; and Salinas, Puerto Rico. Selection criteria included yield, maturity, resistance to diseases and pests, and seed protein and oil content. P22A67E' was selected at the F6 generation, and breeder seed production began in 2022.
Tests & Trials: The comparative trials for P22A67E' were conducted in Kent County, Ontario, during the 2023 and 2024 growing seasons. Trials were planted in a RCB design and consisted of 3 replicates for each variety. Plots consisted of 4 rows, 5 metres in length and a row spacing of 76 cm. The trial consisted of 1740 plants per variety.
