Summary: When the cotyledons are completely open, the hypocotyl of P30A75E' has a strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration whereas the hypocotyl of P28A42X' has a weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration. The plants of P30A75E' are shorter than the plants of P28A42X'. The seed shape of P30A75E' is spherical whereas that of P28A42X' is elongated. The plants of P30A75E' mature earlier than the plants of P28A42X'.

Origin & Breeding History: P30A75E' originated from a cross between two proprietary inbreds, conducted in 2018 at Johnston, Iowa. Between 2019 and 2020, six generations were advanced across two locations: Johnston, Iowa and Salinas, Puerto Rico. Selection criteria included yield, maturity, resistance to diseases and pests, and seed protein and oil content. P30A75E' was selected at the F6 generation, and breeder seed production began in 2022.
Tests & Trials: The comparative trials for P30A75E' were conducted in Kent County, Ontario, during the 2023 and 2024 growing seasons. Trials were planted in a RCB design and consisted of 3 replicates for each variety. Plots consisted of 4 rows, 5 metres in length and a row spacing of 76 cm. The trial consisted of 1740 plants per variety. Plant height was measured using 20 observations per variety per year. Mean differences were significant at the 5% probability level based on a Student's t-test.
