The cross from which V15L105' originated was between a proprietary female parent, and an unknown male parent. From the resulting progeny, approximately 397 seedlings were planted in a greenhouse in 2015 at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre facilities in Vineland, Ontario. In 2015, 'V15L105' was selected for its timing of maturity, flesh colour, storage root shape, sugar content in uncooked tubers, and yield.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'V15L105' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, registration number 65005, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine in Donegol, Ireland, in 2022.
