The margin of the terminal leaflet of 'DrisStrawFortySix' serrate to crenate whereas that of 'Benicia' is only crenate. The calyx of 'DrisStrawFortySix' is the same size as the corolla whereas the calyx of 'Commitment' is larger than the corolla. The fruit of 'DrisStrawFortySix' small and much longer than wide whereas the fruit of 'Benicia' is large and moderately longer than wide. The fruit of 'DrisStrawFortySix' has an absent to very narrow band without achenes whereas that of 'Benicia' has a narrow band without achenes and that of 'Commitment' has a medium width band without achenes. The achenes of 'DrisStrawFortySix' are positioned above the fruit surface whereas those of 'Benicia' are below the fruit surface and those of 'Commitment' are level with the fruit surface. The calyx of 'DrisStrawFortySix' is slightly larger than the diameter of the fruit whereas that of 'Benicia' is much larger that the fruit and that of 'Commitment' is the same size as the fruit. The fruit of 'DrisStrawFortySix' is of medium firmness whereas that of 'Benicia' is firm. The fruit cavity of 'DrisStrawFortySix' is of medium size whereas that of 'Commitment' is large. The plants of 'DrisStrawFortySix' begin flowering and the fruit ripens mid-season whereas those of 'Benicia' flower and ripen early in the season.

The cross was made between the proprietary female parent 'DrisStrawThirtyTwo' and the proprietary male parent 'KGEM 0631-001'. A single plant was selected for asexual propagation by tissue culture and vegetative cuttings in June 2010 based on maturity time, plant growth habit, fruit colour and fruit flavour. Further propagation and testing was conducted at a nursery in Kent, United Kingdom from 2010 to 2014.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'DrisStrawFortySix' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, reference number 20151517, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office, Angers, France. The trials were conducted at the Escaroupim Studies Center - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, in Portugal from 2016 to 2017.
