In 2012, 'Amandine' was selected in Le Barp, France as a single seedling based on its fruit quality, size, colour, taste, flavour, yield; easy harvesting and storage qualities. Official control trials were conducted from 2012 to 2014. 'Amandine' was first propagated by rooted cuttings at the farm of LeMerle2 in Le Barp, France in the summer of 2008.
