Summary: The plants of Eves Delight 2' have few to a medium number of stolons whereas those of Milack' have very few to few stolons. The upper side of the leaf of Eves Delight 2' is light green whereas that of Milack' is medium green.
Description:
PLANT: day neutral type, semi-upright growth habit, medium density foliage, medium vigour
STOLONS: few to medium number, weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration, sparse pubescence
PETIOLE: medium to long, horizontal attitude of hairs
STIPULE: very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration
LEAF: large, light green upper side, medium degree of blistering, medium glossiness, no variegation
TERMINAL LEAFLET: moderately longer than wide, acute base, serrate margin, concave in cross-section
FLOWERING: begins early
INFLORESCENCE: positioned at same level as foliage, very few to few flowers
PEDICEL: upwards attitude of hairs
FLOWER: medium diameter, calyx larger than corolla, touching petal arrangement, stamen present
PETAL: equal length to width, white inner side
CALYX: position of attachment is inserted to level with fruit surface, slightly larger than fruit diameter, outwards attitude of sepals, medium to strong adherence to fruit
FRUIT: ripening begins early, moderately longer than wide, large to very large, conical shape, slight difference in shape between terminal fruit and other fruit, firm to very firm, medium sized cavity
FRUIT SURFACE: medium red, slightly uneven colour distribution, strong glossiness, slightly uneven, narrow band without achenes, achenes positioned at level with surface

Origin & Breeding History: The variety Eves Delight 2' originated from a controlled cross conducted in 2013 between the female parent designated EZ05' and the male parent designated GB96' at a farm in Faversham, Kent, United Kingdom. In the summer of 2014, a single unique plant of 'Eves Delight 2' was selected based on its fruit number, uniform shape, colour, size, skin firmness and flavour. The first propagation occurred by stolons in Faversham, Kent, United Kingdom.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of Eves Delight 2' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2018/3475, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt Prüfstelle, Wurzen, Germany from 2022 to 2023.
