Origin & Breeding History: 'PMOORE03' was bred and developed by the breeder, Peter Robert Moore, in Longstock, England. It originated from a controlled cross pollination conducted in the summer of 2004, between the Sarcococca hookeriana var. digyna variety 'Purple Stem', as the female parent, and an unnamed proprietary plant, as the male parent. From the resulting progeny, 'PMOORE03' was selected in 2007, for its moderate plant growth rate, dark green and narrow leaves with glossy appearance, flower fragrance and appearance, and good container production. 'PMOORE03' was first propagated asexually by semi-ripe stem cuttings in 2007, in Longstock, England.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'PMOORE03' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2012/0673, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trial was conducted by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany in Cambridge, United Kingdom, in 2013. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
