SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present
PLANT: indeterminate growth habit, medium height, flowers early season, early season fruit maturity
STEM: very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration, medium length internode
LEAF: horizontal attitude, long, broad, bipinnate division of blade
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): medium to dark green, medium glossiness, weak blistering
LEAFLET: large, semi-erect to horizontal attitude of petiole in relation to main axis of leaf
INFLORESCENCE: equally uniparous and multiparous type
PEDUNCLE: abscission layer present, short to medium length
FLORET: yellow, pubescence of style present
IMMATURE FRUIT: small to medium extent of dark green shoulder, very light to light green skin excluding shoulder, no green stripes
MATURE FRUIT: very small to small, large length/diameter ratio, obovate shape in longitudinal section, very weak to weak ribbing at peduncle end, weak depression at peduncle end, very small to small peduncle scar, very small blossom scar, indented to flat at blossom end, small to medium sized diameter at mid-point of core (in cross-section) in relation to total diameter when viewed from above, thin pericarp, two and three locules, red skin colour, strong glossiness of skin, red flesh, firm to very firm

Origin & Breeding History: 'Bozak' originated from a controlled cross conducted in the summer of 2011 at the Enza Zaden Research and Development Station in Enkhuizen, Netherlands. The cross was made between two unnamed proprietary seedlings. In 2012, 'Bozak' was identified and included in hybrid screening trials at the Enza Zaden Research and Development Station and further trialed in the Netherlands and Canada. Selection was based on uniform fruit, yield and taste.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Bozak' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, reference number TMT3140, purchased from Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by Naktuinbouw, Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, from 2017 to 2018.
