Summary: The intensity of green of the leaf blade is darker than medium dark for 'Stenza' whereas the intensity of green of the leaf blade is medium dark for 'Taymyr'. The leaflet blade of 'Stenza' is large whereas the leaflet blade of 'Taymyr' is medium to large.

Description:

SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present

PLANT: indeterminate growth type, medium to tall

STEM: absent or very weak anthocyanin colouration, long internode

LEAF: semi-drooping attitude, long, broad, bipinnate type, medium to dark green upper side, weak to medium degree of glossiness of upper side, medium degree of blistering
LEAFLET: large, semi-erect to horizontal attitude of petiole in relation to main axis

TIME OF FLOWERING: mid-season
INFLORESCENCE: mainly uniparous
FLOWER: yellow, pubescent style

PEDUNCLE: abscission layer present, medium length
FRUIT (BEFORE MATURITY): no green shoulder, light to medium intensity of green excluding green shoulder, no green stripes

Origin & Breeding History: 'Stenza' resulted from a controlled cross between two un-named proprietary seedlings at Enza Zaden Research and Development B.V. Enkhuizen in 2012. The selection criteria and objectives of the breeding program were to develop new tomato varieties that produce large uniform fruit with good colour and disease resistance.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Stenza' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT3011, purchased from Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trials were conducted by Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2018.
