SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present

PLANT: indeterminate growth type, medium height, flowers early to mid season, early fruit maturity

STEM: absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration, short to medium length internode

LEAF: horizontal to semi-drooping attitude, long, broad, bipinnate type
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): medium to dark green, weak to medium glossiness, weak to medium blistering
LEAFLET: medium to large, semi-erect to horizontal attitude of petiole in relation to main axis of leaf

INFLORESCENCE: mainly multiparous type
PEDUNCLE: abscission layer present, short to medium length
FLOWER: yellow, pubescence of style present

IMMATURE FRUIT: no green shoulder, very light to light green skin, no green stripes
MATURE FRUIT: very small to small, large to very large length to diameter ratio, oblong to cylindric shape in longitudinal section, very weak to weak ribbing at peduncle end, very weak to weak depression at peduncle end, very small peduncle scar, very small blossom scar, indented to flat at blossom end, small to medium diameter of core (in cross-section) in relation to total diameter when viewed from above, very thin to thin pericarp, two and three locules, pink, strong glossiness of skin, red flesh, firm

Origin & Breeding History: 'Monile' (breeder's reference T316108) originated from a controlled cross conducted between 'T1964', as the female parent, and 'T3154', as the male parent on May 13, 2016 in De Lier, Netherlands. The hybrid tomato variety was selected in 2016 for its setting consistency, fruit colour and taste.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Monile' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT3455, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands from 2019 to 2020.
