Summary: The leaf of 'Santiana' has a horizontal to semi-drooping attitude while the leaf of 'Provine' has a horizontal attitude. At the peduncle end, the fruit of 'Santiana' has weak to medium ribbing while that of 'Provine' has weak ribbing. The fruit of 'Santiana' has lighter red skin than the fruit of 'Provine'.

INFLORESCENCE: mainly uniparous type

Origin & Breeding History: 'Santiana' (breeder's reference 72-763 RZ) originated from a cross conducted between two proprietary lines in the autumn of 2016 in the Netherlands. The hybrid large cluster tomato variety was selected in 2017 for its plant characteristics for production in heated glass greenhouses, fruit quality and fruit size.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'Santiana' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT3540, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2020.
