Description:

SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present

PLANT: indeterminate growth type, medium to tall, flowers early, very early to early fruit maturity
STEM: very weak to weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper third, medium length internode

LEAF: horizontal to semi-drooping attitude, medium to long, medium width, bipinnate blade type
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): medium green, weak glossiness, weak blistering
LEAFLET: medium size, horizontal attitude of petiole in relation to main axis of leaf

INFLORESCENCE: mainly multiparous type
PEDUNCLE: abscission layer present, medium length
FLOWER: yellow, pubescence of style present

IMMATURE FRUIT: small to medium extent of medium green shoulder, light green skin (excluding shoulder), no green stripes

Origin & Breeding History: 'Benvolietto' (breeder's reference 72-MP0032 RZ) originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary lines in the autumn of 2020 in De Lier, Netherlands. ‘Benvolietto' was selected in De Lier, Netherlands in the spring of 2021 for its fruit size, shape, colour, firmness, yield, shelf life and suitability for harvest on the vine; and disease resistance.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of ‘Benvolietto' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMT4098, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2023 and 2024.
