Summary: The leaf of Arterus' is medium to dark green while that of Astrolite' is dark green. The shoulder of the immature fruit of Arterus' is dark green while that of Astrolite' is medium to dark green. The fruit of Arterus' is large while that of Astrolite' is medium to large.
Description:
SEEDLING: anthocyanin colouration of hypocotyl present
PLANT: tall, flowers mid-season, autonecrosis absent
STEM: weak to medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration on upper third, medium length internode
LEAF: horizontal to semi-drooping attitude, long, broad, bipinnate blade type
LEAF BLADE (UPPER SIDE): medium to dark green, medium degree of glossiness, medium degree of blistering
LEAFLET: large, horizontal attitude of petiole in relation to main axis of leaf
PEDICEL: medium length
IMMATURE FRUIT: medium to large extent of dark green shoulder, medium conspicuousness of meridian stripes
MATURE FRUIT: large, circular shape in longitudinal section, only two locules, yellowish skin

Origin & Breeding History: 'Arterus' (breeder's reference 61-RS082 RZ) is a rootstock tomato variety that originated from a controlled cross conducted between two proprietary rootstock tomato lines in the spring of 2017 in De Lier, Netherlands. Arterus' was selected in the spring of 2019 for its rootstock vigour and resistance to various diseases.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of Arterus' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number TMR68, purchased from the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands. The trial was conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands in 2022 and 2023.
