Summary: The petiole of the younger leaves of 'GSW1600201' have a strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration while those of 'Weisse Gaultherie' have an absent or very weak intensity of anthocyanin colouration. The leaf blade of 'GSW1600201' is shorter than the leaf blade of 'Weisse Gaultherie'. The fruit of 'GSW1600201' is smaller than that of 'Weisse Gaultherie'. The fruit of 'GSW1600201' is white while that of 'Weisse Gaultherie' is more white aging to pink.

BRANCH: light green to medium green, medium to strong intensity anthocyanin colouration at base, lignified base, medium green distal colour, 50 to 70 degree angle of secondary branches with main branch
PETIOLE: weakly channeled shape, medium green, strong intensity of anthocyanin colouration on young and mature leaves
LEAF: alternate position
LEAF BLADE: ovate to elliptic shape, brown green (darker than RHS N137A) upper side, very weakly recurved shape in longitudinal section, very weakly serrate margin, accuminate tip, medium to strong glossiness, light green lower side, medium intensity of anthocyanin colouration of young leaves

Origin & Breeding History: 'GSW1600201' originated from a self-pollinated cross conducted in July 2014 in Twello, Netherlands with the proprietary parent variety designated '1000-8'. From the resulting progeny, 'GSW1600201' was selected in October 2015 for its plant growth habit, branch habit, plant shape, berry colour and production characteristics. 'GSW1600201' was first asexually reproduced by tissue culture in May 2016 in Twello, Netherlands.
Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'GSW1600201' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2018/0627, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Naktuinbouw in Roelofarendsveen, Netherlands, in 2019. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
