Variety Description

Variety used for comparison: 'KLECA13259' (COA 422)

Summary: The plants of 'KLECA15327' have a spreading growth habit while those of 'KLECA13259' have a semi-upright upright growth habit. The leaf of 'KLECA15327' is of medium length while that of 'KLECA13259' is long to very long. The calyx lobe of 'KLECA15327' is of medium length while that of 'KLECA13259' is long. When newly opened, the inner side of the corolla of 'KLECA15327' is yellow while the corolla of 'KLECA13259' is lighter yellow. When fully opened, the inner side of the corolla of 'KLECA15327' is yellow while the corolla of 'KLECA13259' is brighter yellow.

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLECA15327' originated from a controlled cross conducted by the breeder, Anita Stoever, in Stuttgart, Germany. The cross was made between the female parent variety 'CA-2011-0540' and the male parent variety 'CA-2012-0554', conducted in 2012. Resultant seedlings were selected in May 2013 based on their plant growth habit, foliage health and quality and early flowering. The selected seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials from February to May in 2014, in Stuttgart, Germany. A single seedling was selected for commercialization and named 'KLECA15327' in July 2014.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLECA15327' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination, application number 2016/1702, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2017. The colour determinations were made using the 2007 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
