From this cross, seedlings were selected based on flower colour and stability of double flower type. Selected seedlings were evaluated in greenhouse trials from March to May in 2014 and 2015 and were further selected based on time of flowering. A single seedling was selected for commercialization and named 'KLECA16364' in January 2015.

The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2018. The colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
