Description:

PLANT: semi-upright growth habit, medium height

SHOOT: medium length

LEAF BLADE: medium length, narrow to medium width, narrow acute apex, no variegation, upper side medium green

PEDICEL: long
CALYX LOBE: medium length, medium width
FLOWER: single type, broad
COROLLA: medium degree of lobing, medium conspicuousness of veins
COROLLA LOBE (INNER SIDE): medium purple (RHS NN78D) when newly opened, mainly medium purple (RHS NN78C) when fully opened, dark blue pink (RHS N74C-N74D) when aged, light yellow (RHS 4D) secondary colour, medium width secondary colour along the fused parts of the corolla lobes, large to very large rounded area of dark purple (RHS N79A) at transition to corolla tube, very large yellow marking at transition to corolla tube, rounded apex, absent or very weak colour change during growing season
COROLLA TUBE (INNER SIDE): medium yellow (RHS 9B), weak conspicuousness of veins

Origin & Breeding History: 'KLECA20810' originated from a controlled cross between the female parent, a proprietary seedling designated 'CA-2015-6712' and the male parent, a proprietary seedling designated 'CA-2016-8001', conducted in Stuttgart, Germany in August 2017. The resultant seedlings were selected in May 2018, based on plant habit, branching characteristics, flower size, flower appearance and time of flowering. The new variety 'KLECA20810' was finally selected for commercialization in May 2020.

Tests & Trials: The detailed description of 'KLECA20810' is based on the UPOV report of Technical Examination application number 2021/1833, purchased from the Community Plant Variety Office in Angers, France. The trials were conducted by the Bundessortenamt in Hannover, Germany in 2022. All colour determinations were made using the 2015 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Colour Chart.
