When you should expect a reply
The CFIA responds to all questions, reports and concerns. Generally, you can usually expect a response within 2 to 3 business days. When you receive a reply may vary depending on the type of question and our current work volume.
More detailed questions, for example, questions that need interpretation of regulations or policies, may take up to 20 business days for a response.

This information will be retained in accordance with the Agency’s retention and disposition policies.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Privacy Act, personal information collected by the CFIA and the Government of Canada is protected from disclosure to unauthorized persons and/or agencies.
